What inspired me to paint this artwork? I always have this dreamlike vision of a pretty woman with beautiful long golden red hair. I wanted to challenge my self to paint to bring this vision in reality through art. I painted her surroundings with lovely flowers which represents femininity. It seems she is in the act of stepping in and feeling the water. I painted the water with lotus plants which is a symbol of beauty and purity . And also painted colorful koi fishes which symbolizes good fortune and prosperity. I wanted to created a bright colorful painting reflecting beauty and positive energy. I used the alla prima technique in painting this artwork. I added a golden oil paint in her red long hair as highlight.
